Desperate Kiev Targeted Moscow With Drones For The Second Time In Week
On the night of August 1, the Ukrainian military targeted the Russian capital with drones. The Russian Ministry of Defence reported that in total three UAVs were intercepted in the Moscow region.
Two Ukrainian drones were shot down by Russian air defence forces over the Odintsovo and Naro-Fominsk districts of the Moscow region. The third UAV was suppressed by Russian electronic warfare means. The UAV lost control and fell on the territory of the large business center Moscow City.
“On the night of August 1, an attempt of a terrorist attack by the Kiev regime with unmanned aerial vehicles on facilities in Moscow and the Moscow region was thwarted,” the Ministry commented.
The mayor of Moscow reported that the drone fell on the same building that was damaged during the previous attack on July 30. LINK The offices of the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of Industry and Trade located in the building.
As a result of the incident, windows on the 21st floor were damaged. In total, 150 square meters of the facade were affected. No one was wounded. The employees are currently working online.
The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova compared Kiev’s terrorist attacks on civilian facilities in Moscow to the attacks on September 11, 2001. The Kremlin later commented, clarifying that Moscow does not see any attempts to stage an attack in Moscow similar to the terrorist attack in New York.
“Here I have nothing to add to what the MOD [Defense Ministry] said. The threat exists, it is obvious, measures are being taken,” the Kremlin’s spokesman claimed.
Moscow called the attack an “act of desperation” of Ukraine due to failures during the counteroffensive. While Kiev’s counteroffensive stuck on all the frontlines and losses of the Ukrainian Army are rapidly growing, the Kiev regime tries its best to distract the public with senseless attacks on civilians in an attempt to gain more hype and hide its defeat. Impotent on the front, the Ukrainian military continues resorting to terrorist warfare with tacit support of its patrons from the NATO countries.
